Moving in…
Last Thursday, we got the house… We’ve been moving things in all weekend.
As it stands, we’ll only have one month of overlaping rent in our old place… But we are very excited to be in our new home.
There is a big punch list to take care of early in the week… We have no gas right now and our dishwasher is not hooked up. The dishwasher alone isn’t the issue - more that it doesn’t fit under the counter. There are also no phone or cable recepticles in my room. I’m not sure how I missed that when I was walking through the house during construction.
I’ll put some updated pictures as soon as we get the boxes out. I also have a ton of Piper pictures and videos to post on her blog.

Just sticks
We checked out the house today. All of the outside walls are in place. The only walls not really framed in were the closets and the laundry room.

Phoenix Fires 2008
You can see the smoke from our back yard…
I drove over to PIR yesterday. From the bridge on Avondale, it is black as far as you can see.
Today is day three of the fires…

Harvey’s First Fight
While I was programming Harvey some new Yoga moves, Clyde my RoboQuad got a little jealous and started a fight.

Unfortunatly, he had the upper had because he can see and hear and all… I think Harvey is going to have to learn some new moves to get back at Clyde and his stupid four legs....
Robot Yoga
Well, after a long awaited trip from Wisconsin. My Robot finally showed up.
His name is Harvey. After the name that John Crighton gave Scorpios’ counterpart that was in his brain. If you have never watch Farscape, well just call him Harvey then….
Harvey and I are getting acquainted. I have given him Bluetooth capabilities from some spare parts I had laying around the house.
The next thing I want to do is teach him a Yoga routine. This will help me learn how to program him and handle how he moves. This robot is all about the balance. Currently, he has no input from the outside world. Ultimately, I want to get some gyro’s on him so he know if he is falling over and correct his own actions. He can also use a digital compass to know which direction he is pointing… And eventually get some optical devices on him that will allow him to identify shapes and colors.
So, on with it then…
